WEEK 1 PREVIEW
If I remember correctly….the last time we opened up against the Eagles was in 2008….when we went a brilliant 2-14….when Scott Linehan was fired, Jim Haslett came in…won a couple games, and that was it….then we went on to win one game….in the 2009 season.
…and if I SUPER remembered correctly, the last, last time we opened up against the Eagles was in 2001….where we went into the Super Bowl….and “lost”…my first year as a Rams fan…and this year marks a decade of being a Rams fan for me. Don’t get it twisted no other teams, just the St. Louis Rams….i started watching in 2001….which sort of hints at me being a Sixers fan as well.
and if I super, super, super remembered….IT was also the game where Steven Jackson supposedly got “jacked up.” Correction….getting back up and celebrating after getting your helmet knocked off is not getting “jacked up”….it’s called BEAST MODE, a term originated by Steven jackson.
With that being said, we open the season against the Eagles. What? Blowout? Yeah, they may have Michael Vick…comeback player, MVP, pro bowling QB. Yeah they may have Desean Jackson who has the ability to put the team on his back do. Yeah they may have Nnamdi Asomagua, who is brilliant off and on the field….and Asante Samuel….but they don’t have Sam Bradford :( . They don’t have the heart and soul of a team who missed the playoffs after going 7-9. They don’t have the leader of total yards, Danny “amendeezy” Amendola. They don’t have Danarioooooooooo DX Alexander. They don’t have a Ron Bartell or a Chris Long, or a severe case of Laurinitis.
With that said….Rams 21, Eagles 17
